Otra curiosidad de la vida cotidiana en Singapur es ver los colgadores de
ropa que se usan. A diferència de tener un hilo y un estendedor, usan una
caña de bambú (o palo de plástico, en estos tiempos modernos) que se puede
quitar cuando no está en uso.

También usan la caña de bambú para los andamios de la construcción.

Last Sunday the youth people from the church went to the beach for a
Barbecue. The weather was good in the morning, but for the lunch started to
rain... So we had to barbecue the food with umbrellas:P So much difficulties
made me loose the hunger, but was nice anyway.

After we ate, the rain stopped and we could play some group games:) Was nice
to spend some time together in the beach.

I think I reported this indian tempel that is located near the Maranatha SDA
church once, but it was not until this Sunday night that I visited it
inside. The indian tempels are nice because are very colourful. They had
some fruits inside... Maybe as offering? As well many animals (specially
elephants). When I entered, there was going on a cerimony were a "priest"
was taking some fire that people would touch with the hand and after touch
the head (maybe meaning illumination?).

Letzte Sonntag, als ich durch die Chinatown spazieren gegangen war, hab ich
ein Österreicher verkaufer kennen gelernt. So konnte ich mein Deutsch üben:P
Er war der Chef von ein Kleines Bistro wo er verkauft Wurste, Österreisische
Brot und oder Produkte von dort. Ich hab ein bischen Zwievel Brot gekauft
und es hat sehr gut geschmackt. Hier Brot is nicht so bekannt, as die Essen
kommt zusammen mit Reis oder Nudeln.

Hace muchos días que no escribo nada, así que hoy he decidido compartir con
vosotros un poco más sobre la comida de Singapur. El pasado domingo, mi
amiga Huiyi (como podéis averiguar por el nombre, de orígen chino; le gusta
mucho el tema de la comida) me llevó a un lugar de comida rápida (aquí lo
llaman Footcort) y me enseñó nuevos platos del país:
- Uno se llama "carrot cake" (pastel de zanahoria) y aunque en su nombre
aparezca la palabra zanahoria me parece que no tiene nada de eso. Es un
refrito de una massa de arroz (parecida en gusta y aspecto a la clara de
huevo frita), sazonada con salsa de soya y triturado de diversos vegatales.
La verdad es que está muy bueno:) Aparece en la foto con un plato verde.
- El segundo no me cuerdo cómo se llama:P Pero usa la misma massa de arroz
del primero, aunque sin freír... Así se parece a un pastel. Encima se le
pone un triturado de diversas verduras. Aparece en la foto con un plato
blanco.
- Por último... La bebida de caña de azúcar. Uhm... Es muy buena y
refrescante. Además, aquí és 100% natural y fresca, pues te lo hacen al
momento. También hay la opción de beberla con un poco de limón... Que
también le da un toque interesante;)

Y ahora me voy a comer, pues tanto hablar de comida me ha entrado hambre y
veo que ya son las 14h;) Hasta la próxima!

Last Sunday, doing some tourism with my friend Huiyi we visited one of the
biggest and renewed tempels from Singapore. I don't remember now the name,
but it's located in Chinatown.
The interesting thing is that they provide a guide for tourists and a museum
located in the second floor, so the people can learn more things about this
religion.
The indoor is full of little Buddha figures, that people can "rent" to
contribute paying the tempel. The outdoor is typical chinese tempel
architecture... Like in the movies:P (I cannot see it in Spain or Europe!)
At the time we entered, there were some littel buddhists singing and playing
some instruments, as a ritual.
But what I liked the most is the top floor: there's like a little garden
(with some orchids and other nice flowers) and a little tempel and a wheel
that people roll to ...? But the special thing is that it is very calm and
transports you away from the noisy city. Is an antiestres place! I liked so
much.
